Revenue, before your own costs — not profit. Year 1 assumes growth builds up steadily over the year. An estimate based on your own figures: real results depend on your market, competition and starting point, and SEO results are never guaranteed.

How the numbers work

Simple, transparent sums

Your monthly visitors × the share who enquire gives your enquiries. Enquiries × the share who become clients gives your new clients — and clients × their value gives your revenue from Google today.

The growth figures use the increase you enter, with your enquiry and close rates staying the same. SEO growth builds up gradually, so year 1 assumes a steady build-up (about half the yearly gain); the second figure shows a full year once the growth is reached.

Both are compared with monthly SEO at £750 a month (£9,000 a year). They are revenue figures, before your own costs — so they are not profit or ROI in the accounting sense.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? I’m here to help!

How accurate is this calculator?

It’s an estimate built on your own figures, so it’s only as accurate as the numbers you enter. It’s designed to show whether SEO is worth exploring for your business — not to promise a result. For a realistic forecast for your site, book a call or start with an SEO audit.

What growth figure should I enter?

50% over 12 months is an example, not a promise. Sites with solid foundations still to fix can grow faster; sites that are already well optimised in competitive markets may grow more slowly. If you’re unsure, try 20% for a cautious view — or ask for a personalised review and I’ll give you an honest figure for your site.

Is this ROI?

Not strictly. The figures show extra revenue compared with what SEO costs — before your own costs of delivering the work. To see profit, apply your own margin to the revenue figures.

Where do I find my numbers?

Organic visitors are in Google Analytics (Acquisition → Organic Search) or Google Search Console (clicks). Your enquiry rate is enquiries ÷ visitors. If you don’t track these yet, use your best estimate — and see data & analytics for getting tracking right.

Is my data stored?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you enter is saved, sent or tracked.
